i think fans would be happier with that because like kiley mcdaniel says, 90% of fans that ask him Qs on twitter want high upside overslot HS guys, but from a present value of future performance perspective, hard to argue with Nola. That's why McDaniel said he had Nola rated higher than Koley...Nola could be a #4 starting next year (his words), whereas there's a 50% or greater chance Kolek never hits bigs

“It’s a dream come true to be presented that opportunity to even consider playing professional baseball. Especially out of high school. We told ourselves all along as a family, hopefully when the time comes, the situation will speak for itself. Either to go down the road and play at the collegiate level or to sign professionally. There are a lot of variables that play into that whole process. It’s a really long process. A lot of things have to work out the right way.”
The South Carolina recruit has a 9-1 record for the Brickies. Baseball America lists Murray as the No. 385 rated prospect overall and No. eight in the state.
“It’s a win-win situation regardless of what happens. My commitment to South Carolina, that is also a blessing to go to an SEC powerhouse and play baseball there on a beautiful campus with a great coaching staff and top of the notch facilities. But also being given the opportunity to play baseball with the best of the best, it’s a dream come true to be able to be blessed with both of those opportunities.”
