Watch Wiggins in an interview. He has to be forced to say he is the guy to take #1 in the draft. His hero is Durant. Watch a Durant interview after his first year in college. They are both REALLY nice, one is confident. Bill Self couldn't get him to see what he is. You are the best player on the floor, act like it.

Funny you should say that. Here's a scouting report from DraftExpress on Kevin Durant from his last college game, a disappointing 2nd round loss in the NCAA tournament.

On the negative side, it would have been nice to see a bit more urgency coming from his direction. He had just 4 points in the first 15 minutes, before scoring 26 over the next 25. He just wasn’t selfish enough when his team needed him to be, while some of his lesser talented teammates certainly were. Defensively he looked hesitant to commit any fouls, letting USC’s players score easily around the rim and not going as aggressively as we’ve become accustomed to after rebounds. He did draw two charges, though, an area that he is slowly becoming an expert in as a semi-flopper.

Does any of this seem familiar?

Wiggins not having the killer instinct screams of Skip Bayless anti-LeBron pre 2012 #analysis

Not that I think he's that great, but god I think it's important not to be in a huge hurry to diagnose someone's hunger/mentality while they're still a teenager.

I dont think any killer instinct nonsense matters. He has to learn how to play 5 on 5 basketball. He stood upright in the corner far too often. He never moved well without the ball all season. He just wasnt that good of a college basketball player and he is about to jump into a pool of sharks without a finely tuned game. Embiid on the other hand is a different story.

Wonder why Parker wasn't at the lottery.

I love that we've reached a point in sports where it counts as a knock against an 19 year old kid that he's not already a high-functioning psychopath

Good stat, sorry if this has already been posted. Of the last 29 1st overall picks, only 2 have won the NBA title with the team that drafted them: David Robinson and Tim Duncan.

I'm pretty into the Cleveland bashing, mostly because of the Bennett pick, but they did make a pretty ballsy trade and pay 20 million dollars for the Kyrie pick

Embiid refusing to take a physical might mess up the Parker/Wiggins falling to us.

he really said he's not taking a physical or just that he didn't do it at the combine? feel like his back is totally fucked if he won't take one.
