Grossmann Schenn Coburn Streit Del Zotto and MacDonald make six, not sure who would be odd man out.

Schenn and Grossmann are terrible so either of them are fine. More so Schenn, I can deal with Grossmann but Luke is worthless

How does Schenn @ $3.6M for this season and next work for you?

for the most part this is a bland team. wouldn't be surprised if they don't make the playoffs.

They will make the playoffs but something crazy would have to happen for them to make a run

it's entirely possible but i wouldn't bet on it. there's so many bad teams.
as long as the captain is healthy they're fine. could really go to shit fast if he's out tho.

i mean, this team just has too many holes to be very good. look at this roser traderdave posted a few days ago.

traderdave wrote:Ok, I am not very good at this but it seems there are maybe four spots up for grabs:

Forwards (11):
Couturier / Giroux / LeCavalier / Raffl / Reed / Rinaldo / Rosehill / Schenn / Simmonds / Umberger / Voracek

Defensemen (6):
Coburn / Del Zotto / Grossman / MacDonald / Schenn / Streit

Goalies (2):
Mason / Emery

So that leaves four to get to 23 (and only one to dress) - maybe three forwards and one D?

there's like 4 players that are terrible on that team and we still have to find 4 more bodies? hopefully ghost or some younger guys can step up, but it certainly doesn't inspire hopes of a cup run. they're probably where they were last year. fighting for a playoff spot, but not a real threat.

I don't know. I guess I'm more optimistic. Coots, Giroux, B. Schenn, Simmonds, Reed, Voracek and Raffl are all in their prime years. The team seems to have hit on their recent draft picks with Ghost, Morin, Hagg and Sanheim. Laughton could be Murray Craven productive.

They could be better offensively this season, but without Kimmo they have to be worse defensively, and should be the same in net. So fighting for a playoff spot just like most years sounds right to me.

The back half of the home-and-home is on TCN. Gave up a SH goal already

Also the team announced the Ice Girls will return for the home opener after "they listened" to all the boos when the dudes came out. yay girls, boo guys

So was it some stupid women's group complaining about them? And as a result, the ice girls lost their jobs? Seems about right.
