I really hope they don't rush any of these young guys. Ghost needs to log some minutes with the Phantoms. No reason to rush him up early this season.

I wouldn't mind Laughton making it, but wish it wouldn't be as a 4th line Center with linemates like Rinaldo or Rosehill.

Would Courturier have benefitted with some time in the minors? He seems to have regressed a bit. He looked destined for stardom his rookie year.

I think he would have. When your linemates are Rinaldo or Hall or some other 4th liner, it is hard to develop skills compared to if you are on a top line with the Phantoms and are getting PP time.

Hextall has gone on the record saying he wants every prospect to have at least one year in the AHL. That's the Kings model. The AHL age limit is really stupid.

ghost will be a flyers at some point this season, probably pretty early. when you're ready you're ready.

It's the same situation as Coots.

He hasn't developed offensively like many hoped and you'd have to think it's the role he was thrust into by a team rushing him up.

Why do that with Ghost? Let him play all year with the Phantoms then see if he is ready for the postseason if they make it.

why would you think it's because they rushed him? nothing to support that stupid claim. he's 21 and a 3rd line center that sometimes has 4th line wings. that's more likely the cause of production issues.
ghost truly may be their best defensemen. he's not gonna get better sleep walking in the ahl.

I still think Ghost becomes a full time player after the New Year. With Timonens injury it shouldn't surprise anyone if he makes the team outta camp
