I still think that there is a trade with the Jets hanging out there if Hextall is willing to pull the trigger-the Schenns for Kane and Enstrom. something is going to happen on the trade market before the season begins. The Flyers have too many veteran defenseman and too much money wrapped up in them. There are teams could use one or two of them. There are young guys on the Flyers' roster that are ready to play in the NHL now or are very close to it to fill the void if a defenseman were to be traded.

under any other flyers regime ryan or kane would already be here. still may happen tho as who knows who hextall likes/hates on his team and both those guys will be moved.

Which young defenseman are you thinking is ready to be in the NHL already at this point? I would think the young guys like Ghost, Hagg, and Morin should not be anywhere near the Flyers team this season. No reason to rush them.

Alt is the one that I think is ready. He had a year in GF and was as good of a defenseman as the Phantoms had. Morin and Sanheim need more time in Junior hockey. Ghost and Hagg need some experience in the minors. That being said, Ghost might be in Philly by the end of the season. He has flaws but then he has some scary strengths. He can hurt an opponent with his offense.

Coburn / Del Zotto / Grossman / MacDonald / Schenn / Streit

Goalies (2):
Mason / Emery

So that leaves four to get to 23 (and only one to dress) - maybe three forwards and one D?

Can't really imagine Rosehill making the roster. Bellemare and Laughton should be locks. Not sure if the team sees it that way.

Saw on tweeter that Rosehill won the fastest skater competition at flyers camp. Can't teach speed!

I'm sure he'll be the 13th forward.
