Hadn't realized how shallow he was on that famous Long play. Really not as impressive as I remembere. Also DAVID BELL on the putout

He was pretty amazing about getting around the ball and being in perfect throwing position

OMG THAT IS AMAZING

And even after the fact, keeping up the routine. What a jackass

I forgot just how much I hated them. My God, they really were the worst.

Man, you got that right.

I loved listening to them whine when things went wrong though. They were real bad when the Braves were doing well though.

Davis has 30 HR and 79 RBI. Nobody on the Phillies reached either mark for the entire season last year

I like how they mixed in some throws where the runner probably beat the tag. Or didnt run at all. :)

Nate McClouth, who looked to be pretty cooked a few seasons ago has been enjoying a nice career revival with the Birds. Interestingly, after being a good but not prolific base stealer in his career, he has 24 steals with only 4 CS so far.

Pretty cool.

Thome joined the White Sox as a special assistant to the VP/GM

.276/.402/.554 career over 22 seasons. 612 bombs, 1,699 steaks

Save Pujols and A-Rod, not sure any currently active player will match the HR, RBI, ISO or OBP. Pujols likely won't even finish with the same OBP and ISO (currently at .410 and .279, respectively)

Counting stats maybe (though it'd take some rare longevity), but Thome already has him smoked in ISO even when factoring the back half of his career, and also has him beat in OBP (though Cabrera trending up in that)

Also doubt any HOF voters know what ISO is. They're still picking up on OBP.

@Buster_ESPN: Yasiel Puig has played in 231 innings in 2013. Jonathan Papelbon, 5-time All-Star, has never appeared in more than 70 innings in any season.

He's defending himself now. What did Papelbon say about Puig?
