Id like Bradley if we didnt already have Revere.

Bradley has at least some power so I like him way more than Revere.

If we can get Bradley and sign McCann, we'll be within one regular of fulfilling Rube's dream of an all LH starting lineup.

No doubt I like him better than Revere, but Id rather have Lee/Revere than JBJ/whatever pitcher you could trade Revere for.

To be fair, the question is Lee/Revere or JBJ/pitcher acquired for Revere/$25 million. Though I'm not sure that changes the answer.

Does Jayson Stark take the Phillies as personally as Gammons takes the Red Sox. Seems like Gammons acts like he's in their front office sometimes.

I'd prefer we not trade Lee at this point. No way the return is worth it.

Stark acts like an institutional Phils expert, imo. I think he makes up most or all of his "sources," to be honest. And I can't recall even one instance of him having a nugget on the Phillies in recent years that no one else had and panned out

from Knobler:

The Royals, looking for upgrades at second base and in right field, have had discussions about Gordon Beckham of the White Sox and Howie Kendrick of the Angels, according to sources.

Peavy to DBacks would be ideal. Leaves Cards, Bos, Tex for LEE

Yeah, and if that happens then Boston etc. would have to settle for Bud Norris instead of Lee. The problem for the Red Sox is they have too many guys like Norris already.

Man, we live in a world where Gordon Beckham is considered an upgrade.

Kenny says we have clubhouse issues. Assume that is just Papelbon.

Man, we live in a world where Gordon Beckham is considered an upgrade.

Chris Getz's slash line is .252/.310/.312... over 1300 career ABs (69 OPS+). His 2013 slash is .209/.280/.281 over 176 ABs (56 OPS+). Their backup who can't manage to beat out the Getz powerhouse is Elliot Johnson, who boasts a .200/.237/.269 in 145 AB (39 OPS+).

Mini is damn near an upgrade from that. (okay, not really, but still...)
