I also do not like Ellsbury. One season where he showed power looking more and more flukish

I know. Ever since they stopped keeping score it just doesn't matter does it?

In the late 60s/early 70s, we used to listen to a lot of games on the radio because many of the games weren't televised. And those teams really sucked. Roger Freed, Billy Champion, Wayne Twitchell and Byron Browne. Omg.

If they didn't keep score the Phillies would often be more enjoyable.

They could give everyone a trophy and have a parade and give everyone cake and ice cream and a 20 dollar Gold piece.

Right, and then when you pretend the team doesn't suck you'd have much less evidence against you.

back to delMON, it's easy to see why a scout would gush about his swing. i don't think i've ever seen a right-hander stay inside the ball as good as he does. that usually results in RESULTS.

however, i guess said scouts didn't really care about RESULTS. or defense. or baserunning. or hebrews

Doubt the scouts were that in love with him, or else we probably would have signed him before January 22

Excellent news. Possibly brought on when we had the tying run on 2B in the 9th inning and Mini was the guy who had to bat.

Although I understand why guys like Mini exist on big league rosters, I prefer guys who can at least hit a little bit.
