Same as our record with the Big Three*, which should hold up...
(*Kendrick not included in Big Three. Yet.)

from 2007-2011, a lot of things went right. for the most part, we were healthy. even when utley got hurt and missed time, we plucked tad iguchi off the scrap heap and he was awesome. we got great performances from our trash heap players, guys like werth developing out of nowhere, rule 5 picks like victorino turning in to borderline all-star caliber players. dynamite starting pitching, everything clicking. hell, brad lidge went a whole season without blowing a save.
then, with one painful groundout to end the division series, everything fell apart in the blink of an eye. howard misses half of 2012, comes back and is a shell of his former self. utley misses half of 2012. cliff lee somehow wins only 6 games. halladay gets hurt and then sucks hard when he comes back. our role playes do fuckall.
its like we went from the being the yankees of the NL to being the pirates in like 3 minutes. i expected there would be a gradual comedown. i figured after 2011, with howard injured, that we'd see a slight regression. i didnt expect a catastrophic season like last year (relatively speaking)
and heading in to this year, my optimism was at pre-2007 levels. it all happened so quickly. it kind of sucks

We're still a .500 team. The W/L fall hasnt been as catastrophic as it feels, but it's been compounded by the Nationals/Braves producing very good teams with solid young cores.

Getting very little from your two best hitters and best pitcher in 2012 was kind of hard to overcome, on top of all the other injuries and Lee's insanely bad luck
We'll see about this year. Offense definitely looks weak

Ryan Howard
Jimmy Rollins
Dom Brown
Ben Revere
Delmon Young
John Mayberry Jr
With people bemoaning the falling black player numbers and the increasing Latin player numbers, why is no one championing the Phillies?

Further, I don't think even the Phillies believe it. At least they didn't do anything in the offseason to suggest they believe it. If things don't get better, look to see Kendrick traded.
