I don't know. A BP guy is doing some really good work regarding things like pitch framing and other stuff about catching defensive effectiveness. Yadier Molina ranks really high in everything. Ruiz is really good too.
Plus, I'm pretty sure a catcher can have a positive or negative effect on an individual pitcher or several pitchers or even a whole staff.
Whether or not Kratz! Is good or bad in this regard I have no idea. But the concept is not without merit.
