Saw on MLBTR that Pierre cleared waivers. I'd deal him, activate Schierholtz (who's rehabbing at LHV I think) and recall Ruf and Gillies after Reading's playoffs, more as a reward for Pierre than because I think he'll bring much back. If they're short in the OF until Reading is done, call back Pridie.

Shire-holtz is indeed rehabbing in the minors and hitting a lusty .118 or thereabouts last I checked. He should regress to the Kratz! Right around the time he gets activated so look for good things from him.

I read somewhere that Ruiz might be back in September as well. I hope they keep Lerud up too because he is good for baseball.

Kendrick keeps changing his delivery and the pitches he throws and has been an ace two thirds of the time he starts whilst getting rocked the other third. Next year he will probably add another pitch. I'd like to see him develop a spitter like the one Gaylord Perry had.

Ruf looks a little like a young John Kruk to me somehow. Kruk was a riot to watch when he was young with the short hair and him trying to run fast with that fat misshapened body and stuff.

I hope Aumont gets to pitch more because he's pretty cool to watch.

Think Phils should look at Angel Pagan as a CF option after the season. He is the same age as Vic, steals around 30 bases at an efficient rate, and has hit consistently well since getting a chance to play more with the Mets. He is getting no FA hype and I think he'll end up being a steal relative to Bourn and maybe even Vic
