I don't know about that. Cole's Q rating is definitely on the rise, Lee's down some, but I think a plurality would think/say, "here we go again" with the sign one ace, get rid of one ace thing.
Possible exception being if it returned an impact bat.

I know there are some who, as a matter of principle, don't want to give the Jays what they originally asked for (Drabek/Happ/Brown). But it's silly to lose a fantastic opportunity over a point of principle.

Think of it this way: Do you really want to look back at this moment and say: "Well, we didn't get Halladay, but we sure showed Riccardi that we wouldn't give in to his offer?" That's not even cold comfort.
