Safe and Secure with Baseball Random Thoughts

The DH is coming, for sure, so I just hope they delay it as long as possible. We're never going to go backward on the interleague thing.

I like this proposal but if I'm a fan of an AL team with a set DH like Boston or Chicago I'm gonna be pretty pissed to go to a game Ortiz or Dunn isn't playing so the pitcher can hit

I think it's the latter part. Not "fun" so much as getting NL fans more used to seeing it. It's easier to write it off as a gimmick when it's the first road trip to Minnesota in six years.

The Indians have a worse run differential than we do and are 3 games over .500

I wish we were 3 games over .500

BP's playoff odds has us at 0.4%

projects us to win 74.6 games on average, which would be 5th worst in the NL and 8th worst in the majors

While we all hope they make a crazy run and win the World Series, I'd settle for 82-80.

I seem to recall a Phillies player suggesting it in an article. Chad Durbin maybe

Thanks TD.

John Paciorek played 1 game in MLB as an 18 year old. Went 3 for 3 with 2 BB, 4 runs scored, and 3 RBIs. Never played another ML game due to a variety of injuries.
