If the piece this beatch writes paints me as a Jekyll-Hyde without identifying the "accusers," their names need to be out there next to mine—since they bought houses from my wife, drank my vodka the night of her viewing and decided after 40 years it was Sandusky Time to come out.

I need to see if they name names. I'm sure the accusers were promised anonymity. I do not think that late middle-aged women who decide they were groped 40 years before deserve the same protection as minors. Particularly when there are no court-imposed gag orders. Or charges of any kind. They can toss my good name out there while alleging a crime that was never charged? Fuck that.

He seems like the type who would kill himself rather than face prison. But since that's not the case (unless more recent victims come forward) he'll have no problem living comfortably in his beloved Largo condo (I grew up in Largo and there isn't property that I'm aware of that I'd consider worthy of bragging about) arrogantly thinking he got away with something. More people will hate him, but he's accustomed to that by now.

I think with 4 corroborating witnesses (3 named) who gave police testimony plus other victims who would not come forward, it would be hard to deny that he did it and be believable.

SOL has passed. In some ways, it's the worst case scenario for him if he didnt do it. There's no way for him to clear his name. But he probably did it

I know it's been mentioned here, but seriously, if this is true wtf is wrong with those parents who knew about it and did nothing? I know people like to say "it was a different era then" and all that, but I think the natural parental instinct to fiercely protect your children has remained largely unchanged for the past few thousand years or so. And if I found out my wife had been keeping that from me I'd be pissed.

Interesting that he knew exactly who would be accusing him of this. I guess the generous housing terms were not a big enough payoff.

The parents were protecting their children by keeping them away from Conlin and not exposing the kids as molestation victims and also not subjecting them to the public scrutiny of a trial.

The parents weren't protecting other kids from Conlin by those actions of protecting their own kids.

The case of the mom who kept her son away because she thought Conlin liked boys, but let her daughter still visit is really unfathomable to me though.

I wonder if his large weight gain since the 60's is in some way related to compensating for repressed urges elsewhere. This theory is based on on my deep knowledge of the human psyche learned in freshman psychology.

didn't the one mom suggest that the reason she kept it from the dad was because she feared him legitimately killing conlin; and thus figured that a life with a father behind bars wasn't the best thing for her child.
