according to mlbtr, per twitter, via my computer using the internet:

The Phillies have discussed ways of re-obtaining Travis d'Arnaud, the Double-A catcher who arrived with Drabek in the 2009 Roy Halladay trade. As Elliott points out, the Blue Jays would need a ton to part with this year's Eastern League MVP.

Why don't you go get Gose back too while you're at it, Rube?

The Phillies have discussed possible ways on how to re-acquire catcher Travis D’Araund from the Jays. Good luck.

Another nugget from mlbtr:

The Yankees are interested in Kyle Drabek, according to Elliott. Drabek started the season in the Blue Jays' rotation before being demoted to the minor leagues. He had a standout season in 2010, but struggled with command in the Majors (6.3 BB/9) and in the minors (4.9 BB/9) in 2011.

What would the Blue Jays want? I feel like Kendrick and Brown? Maybe Worley and Schwimer?

d'arnaud was the main guy the jays wanted in that deal. they knew he was going to be a stud. the phils knew he was going to be a stud. i just don't see any way the blue jays trade him back.

Was D'Arnaud more valuable than Drabek at the time of the trade?

I was thinking that too but I guess this is all predicated on how highly they think of Arencibia and he did pretty well last year. But I think it'd take at least Brown or a couple lesser prospects. Worley-plus makes a whole lot of sense for the Jays but not much for the Phils. Maybe Aumont and a high ceiling guy in the lower levels?

Do the Jays have another young catcher they love? That's the only way this makes even a lick of sense

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, teams are "kicking the tires" on Alfonso Soriano.
It's a bit hard to believe given that Soriano is owed $54 million over the next three seasons, but perhaps the Cubs are willing to eat a significant portion of that money. The 35-year-old batted .244/.289/.469 this past year with 26 home runs and 88 RBI. He'd be a better fit for an American League team, so that he could DH at times.

Does he suck at defense? If the Cubs are trying to shake things up we could get him for nothing.
