I completely agree. I think Zimmerman is going to re-sign with Washington. David Wright is fed up with New York. He's sick of being second fiddle to the Yankees in the papers and to the Phillies in the standings. You can see the envy in his eyes when he gets the privilege to play in Philadelphia. 4/48. I thought he just meant that polanco plays out his 2012 like Raul did this year. Still with a year left on his contract, though they are starting to platoon Ibanez and Mayberry. Hopefully someone from within the org. comes up and can do the same at 3rd because I don't want it to be martinez doing it.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe Wright is a free agent after 2012 and the Mets have a team option for 2013.

Ahh yes, they do have a club option. So we'll go with the trade deadline route. Phillies like trading for guys that have future years on their contracts anyway on July 29th. Lee had 1 year. Oswalt had 1 year plus an option. Pence had 2 years.

Stutes, Francisco, and minor league arm for Wright.

They'll take it and they'll like it.
