Inflammation can be tricky. It varies from person to person but best case scenario is he misses a start and comes back fully healthy.

in all seriousness I'm down with shutting him down for as long as he needs and maybe slotting him in for one or two starts before the end of the regular season to get him ready for October. if you're really concerned make a waiver trade for a starter so you don't have to start Worley with Kendrick as insurance in a Game 4. they're going to have the best record in the NL regardless of whether Hamels is pitching or not.
