The only reason I'd be concerned about him missing starts is that I really want him to win the Cy Young this year, and this won't help.

one of the things I like about Cole is that he won't try to "tough it out" and end up injuring himself further.

I think this is probably why some are disappointed. He was truly having a Cy Young caliber season. It's a shame.

In this case, shut him down for a little bit. A Cy Young would be a nice leveraging tactic during negotiations. Ruben wins, AGAIN
