This part was surprising:Matthew Lee, one of the men with Stow who was also attacked, was going to be a witness but died over the weekend from an allergic reaction after eating a peanut, police commander Andy Smith said.
No cause of death has been determined, according to the Los Angeles Times.

thats what happens when you play in the smallest LF in baseball. its a homerun or a flyball you can catch.
Which is why WAR shouldn't be the end all, be all statistic. I have weird feeling front offices laugh at WAR and probably most of the value stats the mainstream uses. I'd love to see what some teams out there from guys paid a ton of money to analyze this stuff.Houshphandzadeh wrote:so here's a question that is probably stupid: I feel like almost every time advanced defensive stats come up, at least a few people question or qualify, if not just dismiss them, but isn't WAR for a position player almost half defensive statistics? or, if not half, a decent chunk? yet, I feel people aren't timid about throwing WAR around.

On top of that, even the best defensive stats require a three-year sample to be legitimate. If you're looking at one year you're doing it wrong.
