im no scientician but if i am reading those pie charts right only one lhb has even swung at the cutter (and missed)?

For what it's worth, Fangraphs has Hamels' cutter valued at 3.25 runs above average per 100 pitches thrown this season, making it his best pitch (!). Last year, it was his worst pitch, just about average at -0.14.

His changeup is valued at 2.05 this year, it was 1.22 last year.

Sample size and yadda yadda, but his cutter definitely looks like a better pitch this year.

now that all his pitches have higher numbers he should win more game no?
