The contract between writers and producers expires October 31. Negotiations on a new deal are expected to begin July 16. The networks are asking producers to start new production in May instead of late July/early August so that they can get as many episodes filmed before a possible strike.

Which reminds me, I'm enjoying Carla Gugino's turn on "Entourage."

it's mindless entertainment, but we all need that from time to time. It's a good wind-down after Sopranos

I don't dislike the show...i'm a fan, been a grenier fan since his sebastian cole movie (and brief AI apeparance) and thought connoly was good too...i'm just saying it's been better...i think the firing ari story line was a bad idea...

I think they needed to create some friction in a show that is pretty much just one high after another for all the characters.

I'd never seen Entourage until the beach house we rented last summer with another couple had HBO On Demand. The husband was a huge fan, and we sat up one night watching about eight of them in a row.

I really enjoyed it, in that sort of guilty, I-know-this-isn't-real-substantial way. Another friend offered the best explanation for its appeal that I've heard: it's sort of a "Sex in the City" for guys.
