We...yeah, Cheers, the cosby show, they all started off really slowly in the ratings department and were shepherded....however that was a different era of network television with a different era of people.

If you want a good read about it, check out the last great ride by brandon tartikoff

Anyone still watching Jericho? Pretty good episode Wednesday. Main people are going to die in the next few weeks.

What's wrong with this line:

"He's always gone with us on family trips. Epcot Center? Vince was there. Busch Gardens? Vince was there. Old Williamsburg? Vince was there."

Busch Gardens is in Williamsburg? Maybe they went to the amusement park one time and to the historical sites another? Or maybe they went to Busch Gardens in Tampa?

Yeah it doesn't make much sense...I can look past it though given all the brilliant lines they write for Ari.

That line just cracked me up as particularly retarded. Also, "Old Williamsburg?" Are they afraid people will think he's speaking of Brooklyn?

I was so wishing he would have given a Hershypark shout out there. That would have made my Entourage for me.

I'm still watching Jericho and I think it is excellent. Looking forward to the last remaining episodes of the season.

I always thought Virginia must be the sweet spot for working class families. There had to be some reason my parents took me there every freaking year from 1990-1997. (Busch Gardens is awezome, BTW.)

Busch Gardens is pretty tight, I was just thinking a drive to Hershey is more reasonable from Queens then Southern Virginia.

Anyone watch October Road? I've given it a shot and I like it. There have only been four or five episodes and next week is the season finale. I'm not sure what that means for the future but I hope it comes back in the fall.

I was hoping it would be more like Beautiful Girls, but it's not. Oh well. We still have it on the DVR and I watch it with my wife. She's far more into it than I, though.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

1. The Office wasn't a summer replacement EUSTIN. It aired in march/april after Scrubs and no one watched it. But it was still funny.

2. October Road might be the worst show ever. I really cannot explain how nauseating it was to watch the pilot, even though frickin Jack Taylor from Major League was in it. But to each his own. The numbers had been good for it following Greys, but last night they weren't. So right now it's got a 30ish% chance to come back for a second season.

3. Jericho has been up and down this season. Wednesdays episode was really good. Rumors were that it was done after this year, but now the word is its pretty much set on a full second season. But most likely moved to a different timeslot, perhaps Tuesdays at 10, where it fits in with the "action tuesday" CBS promotes with NCIS and The Unit (RIP David Palmer).

Since it's important:

Jake Taylor
Jack Parkman

TODD, have you heard anything on Apprentice being canceled? This year's LA one sucked big time and they're ending it 2 weeks early...

I cannot remember if they upped for one more cycle or not, before this one ever aired obviously.

Chances are it's done on NBC, though. However, Mark Burnett said that he won't let this show die, even if NBC passes. So it could go to cable.

I lost my ABC HD affiliate today cause the local ABC affiliate had a hissy fit that they were feeding in from LA and KEYT is too damn cheap.
