The Sawx fans are now out in force to try and point out how this changes nothing and they;re the faves for the WFC.

1) Red Sox Lineup is much more explosive than the phillies with Pedroia-Youk-Ortiz-Crawford-Gonzo in some order

2) The Red Sox Starting Pitching is almost as good as the Phillies Lester-Beckett-Lacky-Buchholz is right up there with Halladay-Lee-Oswalt-Hamels (who is overrated)

3) The Red Sox back end with Bard-Papelbon is much better than the Phillies, questionable Lidge, and the semi-shaky Madison

4) The Red Sox have more depth than the Phillies, they are now tapped out, the Red Sox have depth at the minor league level and money to spend to acquire pieces to fill in for an injury

Anyone have a b-r play index subscription? i was trying to look to see if any teams have ever had four starters with an ERA+ of at least 130 in a single season but i can't see the top nine. Numbers 10 through 20 are all tied at 3 players. Hudson/Mulder/Zito, Glavine/Maddux/Smoltz x3, and ones from before I was old enough to understand baseball.
