Probably a subdued celebration I'd bet. Acted like they'd been there before and expect to be there again, etc.

Holy crap, Shin-Soo Choo has a 7.0 WAR, tied for second in the AL and in all of MLB.

I thought I remembered seeing something about Cole Hamels experiencing a significant decrease in effectiveness when started on extra rest. Was this a statistical anomaly from a few years ago or is my magnifluent brain making shit up again?

Is that enough WAR to get him exempt from his 2 year mandatory service in the South Korean military before age 30?

FWIW, if I ever become a minor league mogul, I'm putting a franchise in Macon, GA and calling them the Bacon. The Macon Bacon, yum.

-- How far have the Mets and Marlins fallen since the Phils went on their run? They're now 17.5 games behind the Phils and neither will finish with a winning record.

-- Toronto clinched a winning season with their 82nd win tonight but will finish in 4th place. They'd be in 2nd if they were in the AL West or NL Central....

And with the first overall pick, the Pirates select... Ryan Leaf.

Well maybe not so random, but when Werth batted last night in DC a Gieco ad ran under the scoreboard. Free spokes person linkage. I tried to get a picture, but the pixel to pixel made the whole thing rather blurry.

I'm surprised by how good I think they look. I fully expected to hate them when I heard about it, but... somehow... it looks not so bad. I think it is because it is just the brim, nothing too over the top. Just enough to give you the sense of it.
