Not that I had any attachment to the people who died at Hillsborough, but reading all the stuff up on lfc.tv tonight is thoroughly depressing.

These three pages of letters from parents, siblings, children and friends of the 96 to the folks who died are wrenching. I cry at lots of stuff such as Harry's passing, so to say I had tears running down my face shouldn't say too much I guess, but they were amazingly sad. Some other interesting things around the site from former players and other affiliated members of the club talking about the day and its aftermath.

This is the recording of Fields of Anfield Road that a whole bunch of folks from around Liverpool got together to record for the 20th anniversary to raise money for the Hillsborough Families Support Group. It's amusing to see Dalglish in there, singing "and could he play!" although he's sort of hiding in the back. It apparently broke into the top 20 charts or something in England over the past few weeks.

There've been tons of other articles over the last few days, and I'm sure there will be many, many more tomorrow. It's all just so depressing, realizing so many of these people were my age or younger, and all they were trying to do was go to a game to support the team they loved. Enough rambling by me, considering as previously mentioned, it's not like I even knew about this three years ago, let alone had any personal effect from it.

RIP to the 96. YNWA

How's it any bigger than the game at Anfield last year?

Because this is a game we should win.

We weren't favored last year. No one is ever favored against Liverpool.

Fabianski, Eboue, Toure, Silvestre, Gibbs, Walcott, Song, Fabregas, Nasri, Adebayor, Van Persie.

The Subs: Mannone, Diaby, Eduardo, Vela, Denilson, Ramsey, Bendtner.

Ambitious 4-4-2. Kind of surprising.

Fair enough. I hope you win under the there can never be enough teams in the way of the Mancs winning anything corollary.

I'll probably watch the Porto-ManU game to start. Hopefully they take it to them, but Rio-Vidic back in should be big.
