Song has been our midfield engine for the last month, so its only natural for Wenger to drop him in favor of our worst player, Denilson. RvP hasn't done anything, Diaby has just given the ball away.

Trappatoni never makes substitutions, but earlier this month he managed 3 attacking changes in one game, and one in the first half. If a 70+ year old catenaccio guru can change his mind, everything is possible.
But seriously, I get your frustration. Kerr was the same for Ireland (just like Trapp, actually). I think it's a psychological thing - almost like the managers don't want to change the plan too early because it would undermine the team on the pitch. Or something. One of mourinho's great strengths is the decisive sub.
