2009 Draft Thread

Postby Shore » Tue Jun 09, 2009 13:25:56

As long as our draft class can beat most other teams' draft classes in football, basketball, and track, I really don't care how they do in baseball.

Oh, wait.

He won't be released, but traded for someone else's problem in November, 2012.

not off.

hes a lock to go #1 next year if he ends up eligible.

Nats could end up with both Strasburg and Harper. They're the MLB version of the Penguins. I wonder if MLB will fix games for them too once they get their core together

I don't doubt that he'd go one next year, but that slight suggestion that he could have gone ahead of SS this year if he was eligible stopped me in my tracks.

Well, Harper is already a mythical creature. He's like a better version of Wieters. I think in that case, where you have a freakishly good position player and a freakishly good pitcher, the decision becomes a bit tougher

I went back and read some of the ESPN stories about him a few weeks ago. Crazy times.

But...but...they traded McClouth to free up money for the draft. What a joke.

The big rumor going around was that they were going cheap early, because they are going to take that money and use it to sign Miguel Sano on July 2nd.
