Manager Jerry Manuel characterized the reason as "discomfort" and said the same sensations would not have prevented Santana from pitching. He also said the malady is not a new phenomenon for his No. 1 starter. It was unclear whether the knee surgery Santana underwent in October and the delay in implementing his normal offseason throwing program had contributed to the problem.

great plate discipline and game knowledge - reminds me a lot of Keith
he will be a great situational batter by advancing runners etc, and knowing when to drive them in
will be available for reporters after all games (both great games and lousy games)

The Phillies have sent out their ticket plans and a Mets fan who has a Phillies Sunday pack noticed this: They’re all glossy tickets with pictures of a Phillies player on each ticket, EXCEPT that the Phils decided to put the World Series Trophy instead of a player on all three Mets games.

The Mets just happen to be in the middle of each sheet.
