Probably? Honestly?

There were other clubs, including the Phillies, who were interested in Orr's services, but Corosky said the Nationals were aggressive in re-signing Orr.

For example we didn't get the Giants' first round pick for Rowand last year. I know we were awarded a sandwich round pick but I don't remember the Giants giving us anything (unless maybe it was a 2nd or 3rd rounder).
I can see Moyer going home to Seattle throwing his batting practice fastball and changeup for the next 10-15 years. I mean if Ramon Henderson can do it, why can't Jaime?

and if Juan Rivera is healthy, I'd take him on the cheap, assuming we can't sign Manny or a legit everyday OF. Rivera can hit LHP, always has, and is a decent enough outfielder defensively. Stairs should play against every RHP, and then Rivera against every LHP.
He'll probably take a 1 year deal, a cheap deal.

While some sources say Manny will sign in Washington, others say there is nothing to it. "Manny hates the overhead camera shots there," one source claimed. Apparently Manny watched a few of their games on TV and bitched that he "felt like he was watching from the moon" and vowed to never consider DC even if they offered a "bazillion dollar contract".
