2008 WORLD SERIES discussion- WE'RE IN! WE'RE IN!

My guess tonite is we'll see Kazmir, Price, and Howell/Balfour. I don't think Coach Smug will bring in anybody else. That's 3 pretty nasty lefties and a gas thrower. Let's make hay early and hope Cole is his brilliant self. I can't focus at work, I'm leaving soon.

I heard she blew some words in the song. Any audio or video of her from last night?

Agreed. Noticed significant drop off in velo after his 1st inning of work in his last outing. I bet they go Kaz 5, Price 2-3 and mix and match the rest.

When did he become MacGuyver?

When he dropped that ball that cost Milton his no-hitter?

Guys (and a few gals), we're not done yet. Burrell still needs to bust out of his slump tonight. You know how we always talk about how good this team will be when all the batters are hitting? Tonight will be that night.

I would hope to be joking about this, but I'm not: NBC 10 just said Daryl Hall is sick, and Oates will be singing instead.

I sure hope you're right. I have to admit, with the sudden threat of bad weather and (weather.com has it raining at 8:00PM) and the overall sense that EVERYONE expects this is over, I'm not getting a good vibe right now. The star-crossed history of this team tells me that if anyone can blow a sure-shot WS title while holding a 3 games to 1 lead in the final round, they can. Probably just standard Negadelphia stuff and nerves, but we ain't won nothing yet, and a loss tonight is BAD, BAD news. No one wants to go back to Tampa
