I don't know, it kind of sounds like Daulton is maybe taking his meds again.

I thought these guys made millions? He needs 50K so bad he'd sell his WS ring? All his best memorabilia of his career? Wow. Sad.

Drinking, divorces, membership dues to weird pseudo-scientific pseudo-mystical cults, etc.: these things take their financial tolls.

Ya know I don't mind them selling most of that stuff. But selling the Reading Phillies HOF plaque seems really lame to me.

According to B-R, Daulton made ~$26MM in his career. After taxes, let's assume he took home roughly $15 million (over 11 years). I could easily see him blowing all of that in between a divorce or two, some houses, bad investments, toys, partying, etc..

Good question, cool guy:

$23,900.00 - National League Champions ring, 1993 Phillies

If he could stay sober, I'm sure Lenny would be an excellent hitting coach someday - he gets it.
considering dykstra's post baseball success, i don't think being a hitting coach is anywhere on his radar.

lol I thought this post was being sarcastic, but I guess news of his financial woes only came out recently.

If that's him in the photos, and I think it is, he looks like a cancer patient.

He's eaten nothing but ramen and cat food for 6 months.

Well, the whole "Dykstra-as-stock-genius" thing was made up. I'm shocked.

I always thought it was "sock genius" and the "t" was a typo that just stuck... so maybe I was right.
