Kenny Williams must've felt bad about the whole Garcia thing.

Jeezus. Feck.

I'm sorry, I'm waiting for the other foot to fall on this. something bad is going to happen. really, really, bad. this stinks of some kind of good luck following bad, as apart from a real steal.

Sorry, I'm not usually so cynical, but I'm waiting for this to go horribly wrong.

That is ridiculous. Southwest doesn't fly directly from Chicago to Philly. He'd have a stopover in Cincinatti or have to go through Atlanta.

Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

In all seriousness, it does. However, the fake press release needs to read "Midway" as Southwest doesn't fly out of O'Hare

I think Iguchi is an upgrade, assuming Dobbs doesn't play second. I applaud Gillick for acting quickly.

But Dubee may have more potential than he's getting credit for. He's a young 21 at Lakewood, so he's about where he should be. He's striking out 8.73 batters per 9 innings and has only allowed 2 homers in 55.2 innings. He isn't one of the Phillies top prospects, but I think he's a better prospect than Andrew Baldwin was a year ago.

stu, don't think nobody notices rollins batting 3rd tonight - phils mgmt following your prescription almost as if you had a direct pipeline to Cholly's brain.

Iguchi's 2007 salary :$3,250,000
Dubee's 2007 salary: ummm.....
I would rather see you lose than win myself

i've read a fan's comments that said williams initiated the deal after seeing utley's injury yesterday. they liked dubee (drafted him in 04) and wanted to see what richar could do at second for them for the rest of the year.

I'd reading that there is a clause in Iguchi's contract that requires him to be released thus arbitration can not be offered so we'll get no draft picks.

Anyone else know this?

So, I guess that means you can't get draft picks if he walks because you "released" him?
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

A simple yes would have sufficed. Can you two bond in your anti-davidbelliness?
