Abreu batted seventh in the Yankees win last night, before being pinch hit for by Melky Cabrera. He's brought his average back up to .258, but hasn't drawn a walk in 9 straight games.

For whatever reason, midweek games in may tend to start at 3:30ish local time. I'm thinking its so its still a mid day game but it starts after kids get out of school.

don't know if it was mentioned, but all of those db's in new york shaved their heads, with the exception of aaron sele and jose reyes. sele is getting a family portrait or something so he's delaying it a bit, and that prima-donna reyes is still deciding whether he wants to do it or not.

giants lead the mets 3-2 through 6.5.
