That's like what, the 89th time that's happened to him in the last 2 years?

Seems I was silly for turning the red sox game off when they went to the bottom of the 9th down 5-0.

San Francisco has 15 runs and 22 hits with Bonds out of the lineup. Taylor Buchholz got lit up again...

Cust hit another HR today for Oakland.
''I don't know what was harder - that (Phillies lineup) or the All-Star team lineup,'' Haren said.

BBTN just mentioned Maddux is perfect after 3 on 11 pitches.... "will keep you updated on that"????
what is it a slow news night...it can't be w/ the way the Phills won tonight, but trying to pedal 3 perfect innings as news seems....desperate and sensational.....ESPN goes overboard all the time, but this seems a bit much.

3 innings on 11 pitches is rather noteworthy

It is...but they go fishing all of the time and I find annoying and amateurish. It often feels like they attempt to create news where there isn't...
It's funny though....he's now perfect after 5...which is more than halfway through and probably news worthy, but I think perfect after six is when it should be discussed..

The record for fewest pitches in a complete game is 58 by Red Barrett of the Braves in 1944, in case you were wondering too (next lowest is 67).

Maddux is holding on to the shutout, leading7-0 after six, with 58 pitches thrown.
