Eagles Haters Post Here

So, since it is human nature to forgive (forget) past transgressions and get behind a winner we should stop being bitter? If there is a dog killer and ex-con as your starting QB then maybe fans in this city should show some ethics and character and take a stand in not supporting the team. Is it human nature not to show these traits? Or is our species doomed? Personally, I just don't want to root for the guy, or want him to represent the Eagles or the city of Philadelphia. And on a national level this stuff about a great comeback is pure corporate media bullshit.

Sure, I would hope that his punishment would cause some change in the guy, although I really don't really care if he tortures and kills dogs anymore at this point, he won't. Its not like he needs to kill dogs. I just think he really doesn't know why what he did was made into such a big deal.

i just dislike football, i dont care about how many dogs randall cunningham raped
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

I really liked the match up until it was clear everyone and their grandmother was picking Green Bay. God fucking damnit.

i became an eagles hater in my pool at work, because i have to make up a couple games. i had to pick chiefs, jets, seahawks, packers to try to win our pool. if we win, i get to keep watching playoff games. if we lose, i win since everyone else is likely picking the eagles and all the favorites.

The 11 Biggest Storylines from the 2010 NFL Season
So much happened this season. And by that, I mean Favre showed his penis to everyone, Vick made everyone forget about his being a terrible person and all, etc.

1. We All Acted Like Michael Vick Didn't Torture Dogs. Oh Us!

Image

There's no denying that Michael Vick's comeback season was nothing short of phenomenal. But it overlooked the more important story: it seems to have erased the memory of his dogfighting charges. Without that, who really is Michael Vick? Just a guy who knowingly gave herpes to many, many unsuspecting women. Who happens to be really good at football.

btw the firing of the defensive coordinator should appease many of the dumb ass stepford fans who don't realize this team has no talent on that side of the ball.

probably my favorite Gonzo article

Eagles give loyalists a propaganda coktail

If you're on I-95 and driving through South Philadelphia anytime soon, be sure to check out the digital billboard just outside the Linc. The Eagles have a message for you.

It comes in two parts, so you might have to slow down and rubberneck. Don't worry about causing an accident. You'll be fine. Probably.
They like you, they really do. The Eagles take time to thank their fans via the electronic billboard outside The Linc.

They like you, they really do. The Eagles take time to thank their fans via the electronic billboard outside The Linc.

Flash: Thank you . . .

Pause.

Flash: . . . for being the most passionate fans in the NFL.

Nice, right? The Birds think you're swell. Bet it makes you want to run out and buy up all the official team gear you can find. And if you're still upset about the way the season ended, maybe write the sentiment down and tuck it under your pillow. You'll sleep better.

I doubt the Patriots made a similar overture to their fans, and even if they did no one would see it because Foxborough is in the middle of nowhere. It's the little things that make the Eagles the gold standard. Who needs a title?

Quite a few Birds backers recently reminded me that the Eagles are always in the playoff hunt, that no one expected them to win the NFC East this season, that they suffered injuries this year, that they were "retooling," that they had a young team, and that they gained "experience" in the process. If that sounds like a regurgitated version of the propaganda peddled by Reid and the organization, that's because it is.

You have to give the Eagles credit. It's been 50 years since the last championship, but no franchise is better at mixing and marketing a tasty batch of team-approved Kool-Aid. Even more impressive is how the Birds' brass persuades people to willingly bang back glass after glass, season after season.

In two or three short decades, when Reid and Joe Banner and Jeffrey Lurie finally move on, the mumbling, slobbering pro-administration Eagles fans left behind - wrapped in midnight green straitjackets for their own safety - are going to need deprogramming. It won't be easy. The Birds have managed some of the best brainwashing since Frank Sinatra's turn in The Manchurian Candidate.

That's not entirely fair. The Eagles have been quite good in the past. No, they don't have any rings, but they're almost always in the playoffs. We're not talking Cleveland Browns here.

I'm sure the article wasn't. You mean Warszawa's comment? It seems consistent with his opinions on the Eagles

Even still Gonzo's articles all read like talk radio auditions, even now that he's already on talk radio.
