I do hope the NFL figures out Chip, but I cannot root for the cowboys in any way. On the other hand, the game thread will be an awesome display of over-reaction. Imagine the melt down if the cowboys take an early lead.

I'm gonna be at a Broadway show I think and will miss the game. The one night a year our family tries to pretend to be cultured was chosen poorly.

It's a tough call for me on who to root for. I don't like the Eagles, but hate the Cowboys. But an Eagles loss will at least make the Eagles football talk around here (by which I mean, in the water, in the air, all-pervasive) quiet down a bit.I have to admit I like the idea of the eagles ending up 9-7 and out of the playoffs in an historically weak year for the division. And while it seems like Kelly is a new beginning, the window while McCoy and Jackson are on the top of their games isn't really that large at all.

Show is at 3 PM. Even with dinner afterwards should be home by the 2nd quarter.

The Romo/Orton development takes away one redeeming quality to an Eagles win - getting to enjoy Romo Schadenfreude - but it also increases the chance Garrett keeps his job and lets Jerruh keep captaining the good ship Dallas as poorly as he has been. So we'll call it a wash.

It also means the only outcome I can root for is the hated Cowboys winning. So that is not the best.

I'm hoping for a good enough showing from Orton in a loss that they jettison Romo. Ain't gonna happen, but still...

I'm seeing this as a can't lose proposition. I hate the Cowboys more than the Eagles, so if the Eagles win, I'm ok with that, as long as the Eagles don't win in dominating fashion. A cowboys win however would result in a QB controversy in Dallas, Romo bashing, and allow the Boys to avoid doing anything to make the team a real contender. Best case scenario--4th quarter Cowboys win featuring Orton heroics and an Eagles D collapse. Throw in pulling a flailing Foles out for a Vick that almost gets it done, and it will be Christmas all over again.
