But if Reid can take a team that was basically left for dead and get them motivated enough to put together some wins at the end of a long and tough season, then there's reason to believe he's better than anyone else out there. Look at the Phils--a terrible season in 2012, but the success at the end of the season makes me optimistic about 2013. Similarly, late season success for the Eagles means maybe the rebuilding process isn't going to be as long as some know think. I know the draft isn't much of a factor in MLB, but I do think NFL fans and teams over-value draft picks anyway.

he's already done the thing where the team is dead and they put together a couple of meaningless wins later on

I've voted for Runyan four times now, and I've worn a Giants Super Bowl t-shirt or my Giants jacket each time. I think if I'm still in the district next go around he'll have been congressman for long enough that I can vote for him without wearing Giants apparel to the polls.

I can see the upside to an Eagles win or loss tonight.
