there were a few large standing sculptures like that, i really liked them, but don't think the pictures do them justice. if you're so inclined, i have about 20 more pictures on my photobucket:

i wish i would have taken more pictures of the last sculpture i posted. that was only a very small part of a much larger piece, but you really couldn't see that was the case without getting really close. incredible detail.
I like teh waether

There's some Chihuly stuff at the Corning Museum of Glass as well.

Just picked up this camera yesterday.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/301164437154

I have been trying to do some research, but honestly have been a little overwhelmed sometimes with the with the camera expert reviews. I was looking to take the next step up from a point and shoot. This came along at what I believe to be a good price, got decent reviews, compact, and versatile. I will be using this to take action shots, some stills and movies. Any opinions on this camera from some of the experts here, as what to expect.

Strongly recommend dpreview.com for digital camera reviews (they focus mostly on interchangeable-lens cameras like this). Here's their review of the E-PM2: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympus-e-pm2

I cannot comment on that specific camera, but I own the original Micro Four Thirds camera (Panasonic Lumix G1), so I have some experience with the format. The format is not ideal for action photography, because the autofocus is relatively slow compared to SLRs. That being said, huge strides have been made in autofocus performance since my camera came out (late 2008) so it may well be that that camera is plenty good enough for you. Still image quality is generally excellent, and the video mode is supposed to be good as well.

Thanks for the site... Read it over and it sounds like I good deal for camera and lens for 200. I read some other reviews and it said it had one of the fastest autofocus in its class. But yeah, that is one of the better sites where I can pretty much understand what they are saying, rather than some pros that never seem to really be happy about anything less 2000$ and speak in some super high tech language that I can barely understand.

nice photos. i love the how the clouds in the first and fourth pic give off a purple hue to them and look rather strewn across the sky like bob ross painted them

Thanks. I was actually walking home from my beach spot and I saw those clouds so I grabbed a few shots.

i have probably asked this before, but what is a decent camera to start out with? willing to spend a few hundred. i kinda want it to do it all, but mostly outdoors and portraits.

I really want the new Sony a7 full-frame mirror-less body. Calvin if you don't want to lug around a ton of gear, I'd look into a micro 4/3's or one of the new mirror-less systems from Sony.
