I'm in the oil picture. Far right. Then obviously the sun glasses one screaming or something.

Love the pretzel pic. Wish the aperture was a little lower but good stuff.

I stole that pretzel picture, if that is OK with you.

yeah thanks. thought the aperture was more open when i took it but i think i rushed the shot a little thinking it might be considered a little weird taking a picture of a pretzel instead of buying one. My next purchase is going to be a faster lens though.

I just got a DSLR late last year, not really sure what I'm doing yet. A few shots, unedited.

Love the first shot, gr.

Did you really crank the saturation of the second in post-processing? Especially blue...

i did some, yes, forgot about that. not as much as you'd think, but it felt flat to me, so i wanted the clouds to pop a bit more.

the first shot is probably my best photo, total happy accident.

i have a Canon t3i with a kit lens (i forget the specs, 18-55 maybe) and a 55-250 zoom. need an all purpose lens like some of you guys appear to have. would love to find $2200 on the ground and get that super duper 24-70.

Canon's 18-200 is not a premium lens, but would do pretty much everything your 18-55 can do, plus a whole lot more zoom. Those last 50mm on the 55-250 zoom aren't worth much; I'd Ebay both your existing lenses whatever you can get (probably not much) and put that towards the 18-200. Then start building a collection of decent primes, starting with the basic Canon 50mm, especially if you do portraits. You don't need L glass, even if you're rich. Premium lenses are larger and heavier than the regular versions, for differences that aren't going to even be detectable most of the time.

18-200 eh? You mean this guy?

I haven't done portraits (yet), mostly around town stuff, bands and lowlight shooting, and video.

Almost got the $100 50 prime around Christmas just to see how I like that style lens.

Yep, that's the one. I think you can probably get it for quite a bit less than $700.

I wanted to get a flash for my wife for her birthday, I got her a Pentax k10d a few years ago for Christmas [link]. What would be a decent flash to get for this? She mostly just uses it to take pictures of the kids and stuff pretty close by.

I was looking at this [link] it's not expensive and it gets good reviews but I don't know shit about this stuff. Is it worth it to spend the extra and get this or this?
man I drew all these penises for nothing - housh
