ye, I had a lot of success with it against not so great opponents IIRC. I just want to try something different that queen's gambit every time

How to Improve Your Chess by Horowitz & Reinfeld is the book I like, btw

How to reasses your chess was highly recommended to me many years ago when I still played competitively. It helped me improve by leaps.

I think I've played upward of 10000. Less than 20 in the past 10 years though.

that's what I'm trying to do, but he keeps doing just enough to stop that. Eventually he's just going to go Qf5 and play his luck with advancing his pawns

I've heard that there is a 60 move limit, where if no pieces are taken, then the game is drawn. That could take a little while though.

I think if I go b3 I can get a leg up if he doesn't just move his queen back and forth

the "explore" thing on chess.com is some bullshit

I really like the feature where you can move through various openings and see what moves other people have made percentage-wise and the outcomes that resulted, though I have to keep in mind that those numbers are culled from masters working strategically

21-13 when I'm not playing Housh or this other guy who is way better than me.
