Starting prices of $28.5-33.2K (2- or 4-door) seems pretty reasonable I think? Not buying one regardless as I have no use for such a vehicle but they look sweet.

Guess the prices I saw were for higher trim levels.

Dealer has a three-year-old Subaru and it’s a lot with 77,000 miles on it at a good price, good price because of the close to 30,000 miles a year of driving on it for sure. I went over and took a look at it and ask for the Carfax on it and it was really odd to me. First off there was no scheduled maintenance performed on the car that made it to the report, it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t, means that it’s not known to have been done. Some thing that stuck out was two years into the cars existence they replaced the spark plugs. That an alignment were the only things there on the report as maintenance, but I don’t remember replacing spark plugs in a vehicle for eons. That seems really odd and the dealer really have no explanation. I did point out that it’s certified preowned so they did a heavy inspection on it, but I’m not sure that I’m comfortable with this idea. Anyone replace spark plugs inside of 60,000 miles on a modern car?

No. I'd guess that's a 100k mile service. Could be a simple explanation for replacing them. I'd be more concerned about regular maintenance (oil changes) not reported, especially if it was privately owned.

Looked at the schedule and sure enough it’s a 60k service.

I had to replace the spark plugs on my car last year, and it has a little under 60000 miles on it
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Not sure about Jiffy Lube but I've noticed some of these types on a CarFax.

Probably a good reminder about the limited usefulness of CarFax.

I'm using the carfax as a battering ram, especially since the Carfax sure says that they want to much! They handed me the carfax with that on it.

Also, I think I found a better deal in PA.

not a good time to be buying a used car, especially on the east coast with the shortage. have been looking for a few year old subaru. saw a '15 forester last night and by the time i got in this morning it was sold. salesman told me the last few he sold were over the phone. people just saw them online, called in and bought them without even coming in to look at them. they did have a '16 forester with the same amount of miles as the '15 i was going to look at so i just pulled the trigger.

Weird time to buy a car. I skipped that Subaru Impreza with 77k miles since they were set at selling for $15,500 and ended up with a new impreza with a lot of options for $19,200 with 0% financing

Aside from a Tesla being quite more expensive, the game plan was a car that would transport the kid out of the way of a hurricane safely. given the decent college student I wanted something that was reliable and safe, which led me to Subaru and it's array of sensors. Anyway the funny story here is that some kid did show up last year with a Tesla, and there was nowhere or way to charge it on campus. My opinion is the sense it's a tier one research school, the kid should have built himself a solar array.
