Bose speakers sound good. Don't know what to tell you other than if I'm ever in your car and you don't have good sound coming out of your speakers I will mock you on a Phillies message board.

Bose are average speakers with guerilla marketing.

my first point of reference is their noise canceling headphones, which, while expensive, are amazing. Really remarkable listening experience. the next is those portable blue tooth boom boxes. we were in the park last week and my friend had one which played clean sounding music loud enough to turn heads 30 yards away.

i've put 16600 on mine since december 2013

I have about 15 months left of payments on my current car and already kind of want a new one. Gonna try to go at least a year without payments, though.

yeah i would hold off a long time. this is my first car payment since 2007

My 99 Ranger is sneaking up on 130k

My 2000 Focus just passed 176000, but I'm thinking this might be the end of the line. Have had a bunch of mechanical issues in 2014 and the IAC valve appears to be crapping out (could be vacuum hoses or a dirty throttle). Kinda weird to drive a car that actually maintains speed without my foot on the gas. Might replace the valve (or other repair) to try to get to 200k, but that seems like a questionable decision.

I'm looking at smaller hatchbacks as possible replacements (e.g. Versa, Fit, Spark).
