You have to plug in for CarPlay, don't you?

the pandora is fine if I use bluetooth for audio only, but if I want to have the app on screen with the interface and pictures then I have to use usb

Pics of a potential Moto 360 Sport leaked today. If there's built-in GPS and it's under $250 or so, I'd be all over that for a dual-use running/daily watch.

They updated Google Play Music last year to let you send music to your watch. From what I understand, it's still a bit of a pain in the ass, but the 4GB of onboard storage on the first-gen Moto 360 had more than enough room to put quite a few Play Music playlists on your watch. Hopefully the new version will have at least that much storage plus improved battery performance and standalone GPS.

San Disk makes these super tiny thumb drives now, they are about the size of those little wireless mouse adapters to they basically don't stick out of the computer at all

I have a 256 GB SSD in my laptop, which is pretty good, but it fills up quickly if you want to put any kind of media on it, this is a great cheap way to add 50% more storage that won't bug the shit out of me or have to worry about breaking it off in the port or something

here's a question-

how efficiently do programs run off of USB storage?

My son will need a laptop for school soon and I was thinking of getting a chromebook and using something like this to help with the lack of storage

Not particularly well, you'd be better off just using the usb for storage and installing the applications on the internal storage. The caveat I'll offer is that, there are some apps that are "portable" and designed to run off usb drives while making no changes to the computer its' plugged into. Officially supported ones are few and far between though and third party versions can be hit or miss. Check this site out to get started, I don't know a lot about chrome books so YMMV on all this info http://portableapps.com/

Went to the Apple Store last weekend to get my wife's phone fixed (broken screen). While waiting I was checking out the 27" 5k Mac. I want one. I have no idea what is use it for or even where I'd put it. But that this is insane and beautiful.

Bought one of these on newegg last week for $30. Started copying stuff to it and it overheated and errored out pretty quickly. Got to about 30 GB copied and just started getting errors, the drive itself was blazing hot, had to stop the transfer and take it out. It cooled down very quickly, but kind of a drag that it overheats so fast...

My roku is starting to die. I have to restart it a couple times a week in order to get it to detect the controller. I'm looking at this cool looking thing for a replacement. Anyone here have any experience with it?

Also, looking for a good universal remote that can handle my LG tv, roku/fire stick/whatever i end up getting, stereo, and cable box. Can anyone here recommend something?
