Yeah, I've been enjoying mine for a couple of weeks now. I jumped on it (via Amazon) on the first day and got the Netflix deal too. Can't wait until other apps incorporate it into their scheme. MLB.TV would be much, much easier for me.

Oh, but a warning to anyone with an S3 or S4... don't use the SanDisk Ultra 32GB or 64GB microSD cards with those phones. Massive failure rate after a few months. My own card began having problems with my S3 after about 6 months, seemed to resolve, but then suddenly corrupted a couple of weeks ago.

I have had my first gen iPad for close to two weeks now... I've been using it to replace many of the things I either did on my phone or laptop/desktop. I really did not think I would use it as much as I have. I love the convenience. Granted as someone stated earlier I have run into some issues with not being able to run a few apps and it will crash on occasion if I go a little crazy, but overall this truly has become the pinnacle of personal computing. I will probably sell this one and upgrade to the current model in a few months now knowing that this has become my #1 computing source.

It appears that unless Canonical call pull off a miracle with enterprises, this isn't going to happen. After the first-day surge, the donations have fallen way off the pace. Too bad, because this is a fantastic idea.

I wonder if Microsoft is working on anything like this. If I recall, Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 share the same OS core, so it isn't too far-fetched to think that in the future they might be the same... That might be the only way that MS can keep the Windows Phone platform alive. Enterprise customers would be far more likely to invest in something like this if it comes with a Windows desktop instead of Linux.

:ce:

with only 40 hours to go, they've only raised ~$12M of their $32M goal, so under the terms of indiegogo, all monies will be returned to the contributors. (Assuming they don't get the $20M in the next 40 hours).

I'll keep looking though I've had good luck with sandisk media so I'll give them a shot if I can find a deal. I see a lot if Samsung drives out there as well but I've seen some mixed reviews, I'll probably look to go with a sandisk or a crucial.
Tiger direct has a $10 conversion kit in store down here that has the 3.5-> 2.5" bay.

Here's a Kingston 128GB for 89 busks- but only until 1PM EDT today. No idea how go it is, but it's cheap. Hurry!

Missed this yesterday. Damnit.

What are you guys thinking about the new evo Samsung drives? I've read some reviews and they sound pretty great. Thinking about getting a 250 gb for ~ $170

I've installed a Crucial M4 in a MBP with no problem. You'll want to install and run TrimEnabler, though.

If you're going to install yourself, get yourself one of iFixit.com's Toolkits.

I wound up getting the 250gb Samsung Evo drive. Love it. Installation was really simple, had zero problems with the OS Copying over, I'd heard of some people having problems with that. Highly recommend one to anyone in the market for an ssd.

360 degree panoramic camera. throwable. just like the google steet view cam, I guess, but under $600.

Trying to think of practical uses for this thing. But any video technology the pr0n industry hasn't adopted early on is suspect in my book.

I'd love to have a well-built Android tablet in that style. Especially if I can get anything close to the range of Kindle's battery life.
