Lent began last night at midnight, TV- even though I'm about to head out the door to get the sanctuary ready for tonight's events.

That being said, I already ruined my Lenten discipline. I was trying to go for awhile without processed meats- but this morning I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant at breakfast.

And while Lent has this whole "looking inward at yourself" thing, I don't think that has to be a depressing thing- there are some things we do that are well and good. But the whole deal is to work on those hangups we all have- which in the end make us better people. So I say happy Ash Wednesday (Ass Wednesday sounds like it would be a very different thing).

Where is that list of priests? The articles I read did not have links to lists.

A priest from my HS went to jail for molestation of the kids in the middle school. He would go on ski vacations with kids, show them porn, get them drunk and rape them. Thank God I don't ski (although I guess I was too old for him anyways). I think the administration knew he was doing things he shouldn't be doing with the kids and looked the other way. He would tell us dirty jokes in our freshman class and I remember other teachers telling us (when we tried to get them to tell us dirty jokes) that Fr. could get away with it, not them.

Probably haven't "talked" to her in 10 years. (Now looking at the whole list, it looks like i only had a 50/50 shot though....)
