Preference implies one chooses to whom they are sexually attracted, whereas orientation implies that sexuality is hardwired.

One is apparently offensive, too!

RIP women's suffrage. The writers of the Constitution didn't mean for women to vote, so they can't vote.

This is the worst kind of person to put on the court. She is clearly a dishonest activist judge.

If you've read it, you would probably know the Constitution as originally passed does nothing to preclude women from voting. Furthermore if you've read the Constitution, you would note it has a provision for amendments. If you've read the 19th Amendment, you would know it prohibits denial of voting rights based on sex.

There are plenty of ways you could criticize her. Why would you pick the dumbest?

For any Originalist I pose the following: Since many of our Founding Fathers were slave owners they obviously intended that slavery was lawful when the Constitution was ratified, especially considering the Three-Fifths Compromise. If there were no 13th Amendment would you therefore contend that any law today outlawing slavery would and should be struck down as unconstitutional?

Mostly because I enjoy your belittlement.

I did think of the amendment deal, but by her line of reasoning, she could say that they would have said, "and women," if they really wanted women voting. They certainly didn't mean "and women" because they didn't say it. And if they meant, "and women," why weren't women voting until the 20th century? It must have been their intent to not have women vote, even if the Const didn't expressly prohibit it. My point was that her comment showed that she could say whatever she wanted to justify her opinion. She's a hack and another conservative activist on the court, which is funny after hearing about dems placing activists on the court for 30 years -- once again with the projection.

It might be helpful if I start pointing out your stupid posts more often. You make them in other threads, showing your lack of perfect knowledge in other areas. I don't know why you post about things you're not an expert about. You should really keep quiet.

I'm starting to come around to this possibility. I figured he had it because so many others got it, but I'm skeptical he could have recovered this quickly from lung/breathing issues. They just don't heal that fast in a fat, old guy. If he did recover that fast, I demand the healthcare he's getting.

700 SurveyMonkey poll results just hit 538 bringing Biden’s average poll lead down from 10.6 to 10.5 so I’m nervous again and reconsidering not voting. I’ll sleep on it.

Look, an originalist view of the Constitution is a farce that the Heritage Foundation and conservatives use to push their often discriminatory agenda. The founders did not even agree on what it meant and text just simply cannot have one true interpretation. Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3 shows they couldn't even agree who was a human being. So fuck Amy Barrett.
