WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — A Mingo County nurse who spoke at the Republican National Convention in August is a suspect in a Williamson shooting.

Authorities on Friday reported Amy Thorn allegedly shot Jonda Whitt near 841 Vinson St. on Thursday. Thorn faces a charge of malicious wounding.

Amy Thorn is also known as Amy Johnson and Amy Ford.

Thorn, a registered nurse, spent the early months of the coronavirus pandemic working as a relief nurse in New York City and San Antonio.

Ford spoke at the Republican National Convention in support of President Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

I like that she has a handful of names. But speaking of the best people, and maybe it got posted but it didn't, I saw earlier this week that the gun totting Bonnie and Clyde wannabes from St Louis who spoke at the convention had their lawyer submit evidence that it had been tampered with and then announced that he could no longer be there lawyer as he expects to be called as a witness in the case. Best people indeed

So the super spreader event at the White House was targeting black and Latina supporters today. They geared them all up with blue t-shirts and red mega hats for the photo op. I hope no one dies

In a candidate forum with the South Carolina Senate race contenders, Senator Lindsey Graham has said he did not believe there was systemic racism in his state, insisting young black people would be safe, "as long as they're conservative."


Even the best way to take that Lindsey Graham quote makes it terrible. This guy really wants to leave office I think at this point. He's finding new ways to make more people hate him everyday.
