Couple more comments on the VP debate:

I thought Harris' best response was when she stressed the importance of building relationships with allies and how Trump has embraced authoritarians at the expense of the allies.

I noted her look over at Pence when she stated that she's on the Senate Intel Committee and receives briefings on national security matters. It was like, "I know what you're up to."

On religion, I wish she would have hit Pence on that. I wish wish she could have tried to point out how ridiculous it is that Trump is supported by evangelicals. I don't mean she should call out evangelicals, but they should point out how ridiculous it is by pointing out Trump's immoral history and how he used a bible and a church as a prop. Something like Buttigieg's answer to the Fox question around 3:00. Why is an evangelical like Pence teaming up with a degenerate like Trump?



I am also surprised I haven't heard them bring up Gorsuch and how he got to the Bench. I guess dems argued at the time that the sitting president should get the pick, but the circumstances are different enough (the election already started) that they could argue they should have gotten the judge with 6-8 months to go before the election AND this judge is too late to seat given the election has started. I mean, they could make that argument. I don't see how the GOP has any way to argue their position, that it's too late 6-8 months before an election but it's not too late after it started. That's not a realistic argument. I'm surprised dems aren't forcing them to make that argument. It makes the GOP look bad.Maybe it's too nuanced of a point and there are bigger fish to fry?

Well this isn’t firing an AG, it’s accusing the most well connected/politically powerful people in the country of made up crimes presumably without the support of the FBI after he’s waited years with this evidence and it’s obvious he’s only doing it because he lost. There are 500+ lawyers better than Barr that would gladly defend Obama Biden etc. in something like this. Just seems like too much trouble for Barr.

I don't think Barr is personally loyal to Trump, they're just both authoritarians. Trump needs someone to protect him from the consequences of his abuse of power and Barr believes in a unitary executive who's above the law.

Loyalty to both the cause and the leader are not mutually exclusive.

I think at this point, he's Nixon and some people know they need to just wait 4 weeks to get away from him. Altho, for lots of them, it's probably too late.

I'm convinced he's tanking the election at this point, aside from trying to stack the court. He's probably tired of the job and looking forward to being a martyr, poolside at Mar-a-Lago.

I do not think barr is going to indict a biden. I do think he will aggressively litigate the mere appearance of voter fraud in key states as mail ins are counted.
