I'm fairly shocked that this bit about the fake news being generated by Trump and his campaign is not being covered better, for really pretty much by anyone. If the media wants to be all up in arms about what we don't know, they should be all up in arms about what we're being fed and it's truthfulness.

That steroid is nasty shit too. He's a lot sicker than they're letting on. The answers to the lung scan questions were shady.

Dexamethasone is very effective in reducing inflammation. I take a very small dose (0.5mg) every day for my arthritis and it has literally changed my life.

I was originally prescribed 4mg per day in order to reduce inflammation in my lower GI caused by my radiation treatments. I took it for 6 weeks. After the treatments but before I was off the Dex I noticed how much easier it was for me to move (I have arthritis in my shoulders and knees and a bulging disk in my lower back). I went off the Dex and noticed that the pain came back, making even the simplest tasks a chore once again.

When I stopped the Dex I had very difficult withdrawal symptoms for 2 weeks (body aches, occasional spikes in temperature in the evening, fatigue, etc.), so I was wary about going back on. I tried 1 mg/day, four times per week and got the same results. Talked to my doctor and we tried the half a milligram per day and got the same results without having to worry about side effects from such a small dose.

So finding out that Dexamethasone could relieve my arthritis symptoms was a silver lining to my cancer treatments. At such a small dose and at my age (65) my doctor and I agreed it was worth any risks because it’s given me such relief. Talk to your doctor. At higher doses and/or for someone younger it may not be a good choice. For me it had been.
