As you suggested, I think there has been a rule established regarding "virtual" voting (and Graham has made a point about voting in-person). Every indication so far is that he won’t recover prior to Election Day. This gives him a perfect opportunity to drop out of the race while simultaneously saving face to his cultists. I’m hoping he takes it.

I severely doubt he drops out. I could see him using this as part of his excuse to step down during the lame duck period if he loses (which he would do so that he doesn’t have to personally hand the presidency to Biden and so that Pence could give him a blanket pardon that won’t shield him from any potential state charges).

Yeah I mean literally "They couldn't destroy his tremendous economy with the virus, so they had to get our big beautiful boy sick!"

WH said that experimental drugs are open for consideration. They have not yet gone there. That does not sound good. Maybe it is to make it seem like therapeutics and experimental are good, but why even put that out there from the sitting president?

Trump getting COVID (assuming he doesn’t die) is kind of a win/win for him, in my mind. He can claim:

1) That he’s been as protected as anyone with constant tests going out to people in his orbit and that he’s been distanced because he’s been taking it seriously from the outset, yet he still got it, which is evidence that precautions can’t do that much and he was right to not implement any restrictions since they wouldn’t do anything

And (depending on how sick he gets) that either:

2) He didn’t get that sick and COVID isn’t a big deal (possibly attributing this to his good genes)

OR

3) He survived a deadly virus because he’s so strong

Who am I kidding? Claiming either 2 or 3 won’t stop him from saying the other one as well.

For his team, they get to keep this dipshit away from hot mics and it now is in bad taste to bash him until he’s healthy.

So we went from 'considering treatments' to taking "Regeneron" in the space of like 35 minutes. FWIW, regeneron is a company, not a drug. Regeneron has an antibody cocktail as their treatment. It is supposed to reduce the effects of COVID and shorten duration in critical care.
